Protection of Personal Information

Masterpiece Group Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “MPG”) recognizes the importance of protecting personal information in this advanced information communication society and considers that appropriate and safe handling of personal information of any and all of the clients and individuals (hereinafter referred to as “Clients”) which MPG is involved with is our important social responsibility.
As an entity that handles personal information MPG has established a (Privacy Policy) and other compliance programs regarding the protection of personal information and has developed and is constantly improving its internal system. MPG handles and protects personal information as specified below:

1.Acquisition of personal information

MPG acquires personal information through legal and fair means to the extent necessary for conducting its business.

2.Use of personal information

MPG uses the personal information acquired to the extent necessary for achieving the following purposes:

(1)Personal information acquired directly:
  • For recruitment and other management of human resources of MPG
  • For the business activities of MPG
(2)Personal information entrusted by the clients:

For the business activities of MPG

  • Call center services
  • Data entry services
  • Management of deposit accounts of the employees of the clients

We ask our clients to provide us with personal information by specifying the purposes of the use as above and upon consent of the clients. However, we may omit presenting the purposes of use when exchanging name cards fur business purposes, distributing pamphlets as per the request by the client by phone, or in any other case where the purpose of the acquisition of personal information is obvious.

The personal information provided by the clients shall be used to the extent of the purpose of use specified in advance and shall not be used for purposes other than above without prior consent of the clients.

The clients who do not wish to provide the personal information may, at their discretion, deny providing such personal information. In such cases, however, it should be noted that the specified purpose of the use may not be achieved.

3.Provision of personal information to a third party

MPG shall not provide the personal information to a third party without the consent of the clients except for the following cases:

  • It is required by the law
  • It is required for protecting life, body, or property of a person and is difficult to obtain consent of such person.
  • It is particularly required for improving public health or promoting sound development of children and is difficult to obtain consent of such persons.
  • It is required for supporting the execution of operations required by governmental agencies or local authorities, or their consignee and obtaining of the consent may interfere such execution.
  • The personal information is outsourced to the extent necessary for the implementation of business of MPG.
  • The personal information is used together with affiliates.

4.Sharing of personal information

MPG shall not share the personal information with any other party.

5.Safety measures for managing personal information

MPG shall establish a system to manage the personal information and takes every possible measure to control physical and technical safety to prevent leakage, loss or damage of personal information. MPG shall also educate its employees on appropriate handling of personal information as a personal safety measures and conduct internal audit on regular basis. As above MPG shall strive to continuously take safety measures and to prevent any incident from occurring.

6.Request for disclosure of personal information

Please see (“Procedures for notifying, disclosing and revising the purposes and/or termination of use of personal data held”) for any request for notification, disclosure, and revision of purposes and/or termination of use of personal information held in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Law.

Upon identifying the requester as the subject of the information, MPG shall respond to such request within the reasonable period of time.

8. Handling of Personal information specific to website

(1)Prevention of tapping by a third party during the course of transmission:

MPG shall apply SSL (secure sockets layer) to encode personal information or apply any corresponding security techniques to ensure safety of the personal information provided through the website operated by MPG to prevent any illegal access by a third party to the information transmitted.

(2)MPG may send a data called Cookie to identify the computer which the client uses and retain the record in the hard disk for the client’s convenience when the clients visit our website for the second time. Cookie is not intended to identify the clients.

The clients may deny receiving Cookie sent from our website by changing the browser used; however, this may infringe the proper use of our website or the services contained herein by the clients.

Web beacon is a technique used together with Cookie to collect the access trends of the clients’ computer and take statistics on the rate the client views a certain webpage.

(3)Protection of personal information in the linked websites:

MPG shall not be responsible for ensuring the safety of personal information in the websites operated by other entities to which links are provided on the MPG website (hereinafter referred to as “linked websites”). Please confirm the linked websites for the private policies of the linked websites.
